Carrying on the legacy
History
Isobel Park created, maintained and grew the farm for many years. She lived alone into her 90’s and was beloved by many. She recruited neighborhood kids to help pick the berries and sold them at local farmer’s markets (they were rumored to be the best and would be sold out before anyone else). She passed away in January of 2020.
Today
My name is Alison Huber and I’m carrying on the farm. 2024 marks the third year we will be opening the blueberry field to pick your own starting mid July! The farmer’s market will have even more gifts, home decor and handcrafted items this year. As always, pre-picked pints are available in the market as well.
The Homestead
The homestead at Tributary Farm dates back to the mid 1700’s and is incredibly preserved. Alison is an old house enthusiast and preservationist and plans to keep the house original.
Exterior restoration work started in 2023 and continues through 2024 so please excuse our appearance! Dan Huckins, the local craftsman behind Hawkeye Construction is meticulously repairing structural, insulation and siding issues. The building will also be thoroughly painted.
Produce
Tributary Farm has organically grown blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, black raspberries, black currants, red currants, gooseberries, strawberries, and grapes. All are available in limited quantities as they ripen. No synthetic sprays or any kind are used.
